]]> This work of art was inspired by the patterns of the symbolic Colombian “sombrero Vueltiao”, or the Vueltiao hat. The Vueltiao hat is a deceptively simple looking hat that requires far more craftsmanship than is visible to the naked eye.

Similar to the Vueltiao hat, the Tuchin hammock goes through an elaborate and methodical weaving process on a vertical loom. No hammock is an exact copy, as each artisan has an individual style of weaving and Macramé.
